Everything gym owners need to know about setting up a listing, pricing, the approval process, and how members find and book your gym.
Setup
Getting your gym listed
Go to the Gym Owners page and tap Register Your Gym. Add your gym name, location, area name, photos, and slot pricing. The whole thing takes about two minutes.
Yes. After your first gym is set up, sign in to your owner dashboard and tap Add another gym. Every gym you own can be managed from one account, and you can switch between them anytime.
No. BookMyGym works in any phone browser. Owners and customers both use it without installing anything.
At least one clear photo is required, but more is better. Show your equipment, training floor, and reception area so customers know what to expect before they arrive.
In your owner profile, enter the area names you want to be listed under — for example Kakkanad or Palarivattom. Customers searching those localities will find your gym even if your address is in a nearby area.
Pricing
Cost, commission & payments
Current pricing and any applicable charges are shown when you create or manage your listing.
Customers currently pay you directly at the gym. Any applicable platform charges will be shown clearly.
Customers pay you directly at the gym when they arrive. The booking ticket they receive shows the total amount payable at the gym, so there is no confusion.
You do. Set your own pricing for each slot and day. Change it anytime from your dashboard — daily, weekly, or for a special offer.
Pay-per-session is the price a customer pays to book one single time slot at your gym. For example, if you set your session price at ₹200, a customer booking one slot pays ₹200. It is the simplest, most transparent way to charge — one flat price per visit, no membership required.
It lets customers try your gym with no commitment, which brings in more first-time visitors. You stay in full control of the price and can change it anytime from your dashboard — raise it for peak hours, lower it to fill empty slots, or run a limited offer. You collect the payment directly at the gym, so there is no waiting for a payout.
When you register your gym, enter it as your Session price. To change it later, open your owner dashboard, tap Edit gym details & photos, update the Session price field, and save. The new price applies to all future bookings immediately.
Any new charges would apply only to optional, clearly labelled features. Your gym listing and bookings would keep working without a paid plan, so there is no risk to your business.
Approval
Listing approval & visibility
It depends on the platform mode. When instant approval is switched on, your gym is approved automatically the moment you register. When it is off, an admin reviews and approves your listing before it goes live.
Usually within a few hours during the day. Once approved you receive no extra notification — your gym simply appears in search results.
First check that your gym is approved and accepting bookings is toggled on. Also make sure you have added the right area names in your profile. Closed gyms still appear in search, but below gyms that are accepting bookings right now.
Yes. Toggle accepting bookings off in your dashboard. Customers can still see your profile, photos, and details, but the booking button is replaced with a Not accepting bookings message.
By default Sunday is marked as a holiday. As an owner you can switch any weekday to working or closed, so customers only book on the days you are actually open.
Members
Reaching & managing members
Customers search by location or gym name on the homepage. Gyms accepting bookings appear at the top, followed by all other gyms in that area, so even closed gyms stay visible for browsing.
They open your gym profile, pick a date and slot, and confirm. They receive a ticket with the slot time and the total amount to pay at the gym. You can see every booking in your dashboard.
Add your contact number, WhatsApp number, and website link in your owner profile. These are shown on your public gym page so customers can reach you outside of bookings too.
Yes. Your gym profile has a share button that lets anyone send the direct link to your gym page by WhatsApp or any other app, and copy it to the clipboard.
Open your gym profile and tap the Share button. You can send the direct link through WhatsApp or any other app, or copy it to your clipboard to paste anywhere. Share it in your status, on social media, or with customers who ask for directions.
On the gym login page tap Forgot PIN and submit a request. An admin verifies you are the genuine owner, then approves a temporary PIN that is handed to you privately. You must set your own PIN on your next login. This keeps your account safer than an automatic reset.
Photos
Adding & fixing gym photos
The most common reason is that the photo was taken on an iPhone and saved in HEIC format, which web browsers cannot show — so the tile looks empty. Re-upload the photo as a JPG or PNG and it will appear. New uploads are converted automatically where possible, but if your phone keeps the HEIC format, save or share the picture as JPG first, then upload it again.
In your dashboard tap Edit gym details & photos. Use the plus button on the photo grid to add photos, and tap the remove icon on any photo to delete it. You can have up to 10 photos, and at least 3 are needed for your gym to stay live in search.
At least three are required so your gym stays visible. More is better — show your equipment, training floor, and reception area so customers know what to expect before they arrive.
Use clear photos up to about 8 MB each. Very large images load slowly and may not appear on slower phones, so aim for photos under 3 MB where you can.
